I founded The Brain Injury Law Group, S.C., with the mission of advocacy and representation for the survivors of traumatic brain injury. To that end, I have been using the internet to reach hundreds of thousands of people with information about brain injury since 1996.
Towards that goal, I published hundreds of pages of content on brain injury, including http://tbilaw.com and waiting.com. Beginning in 2011, I began the TBI Voices initiative, which consists of comprehensive interviews of dozens of TBI Survivors. See tbivoices.com.
The representation of survivors of brain injury requires specialized background and training. A brain injury case, especially a severe TBI, requires the best attorney. For more on why someone with a brain injury should first consider a TBI attorney, see http://whybraininjuryattorney.com I am licensed in Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Arizona and Utah but have personally represented brain injury survivors in more than 20 states. (Representation of individuals outside of Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan involves the association of skilled trial lawyers in other jurisdictions.)
I am a member of the Brain Injury Association of Wisconsin and the National Brain Injury Association. My service for the BIA-Wisconsin has included two terms on the BIAW board and editing the BIAW newsletter. I was also appointed has been appointed by Wisconsin's governor to the state the TBI-Advisory Board.
I am a 1975 graduate of Northwestern University with a BS-Journalism and cum laude graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, 1979.
I have spoken about Brain Injury all over the United States and am available to speak to brain injury groups on a number of topics, including local support groups. For a video of me discussing our TBI Voices iniative with a support group, click here.
